IND vs BAN 3rd ODI : Ishan Kishan saved India from a white wash in the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh on the basis of his double century. Team India defeated Bangladesh by 227 runs in the third ODI played in Chittagong and broke their dream of a clean sweep on their own. Batting first in this match, Team India scored 409 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs and gave a target of 410 runs to Bangladesh. Ishaan Kishan played an inning of 210 runs in 131 balls, which included 24 fours and 10 sixes. Virat Kohli also scored 113 runs in 91 balls, which included 11 fours and 2 sixes. In response to the target of 410 runs, the Bangladesh team was all out for 182 runs in 34 overs.

Ishaan's double century saved India from white wash

On the basis of Ishaan Kishan's first double century in ODI cricket, Team India had set a mountain-like target of 410 runs in front of Bangladesh. Ishaan Kishan, batting fearlessly, scored the fastest double century in ODI cricket and shared 290 runs in 190 balls for the second wicket with Virat Kohli. Ishaan Kishan scored 210 runs. In front of Ishaan Kishan's aggressive batting, former captain Kohli's innings of 113 runs looked pale.

Ishaan Kishan created history

Ishaan Kishan completed his double century in 126 balls, which is the fastest double century in ODI cricket. Earlier this record in men's cricket was in the name of Chris Gayle. He completed a double century in 138 balls against Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup. Ishaan Kishan also became the youngest batsman to score a double century in this format.

Rohit Sharma broke record

Ishaan Kishan completed his double century at the age of 24 years and 145 days. Earlier this record was in the name of Rohit Sharma who scored his first double century (against Australia in 2013) at the age of 26 years and 186 days. This is India's fourth highest score in ODIs. After the dismissal of Kishan and Kohli, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the team could manage only 70 runs in the last 10 overs. After scoring the first century of ODI format in 85 balls, Ishaan Kishan batted in T20 style and showered fours and sixes. He scored 156 runs in his innings only with boundaries. This Jharkhand batsman is India's fourth batsman and the seventh batsman overall to score a double century in ODIs. He completed his double century by taking a single against Mustafizur Rahman on the last ball of the 35th over. He became the only batsman to convert his first ODI century into a double century.

Kohli also appeared in his colors

Kohli also appeared in his colors from the other end. This is his 44th century innings in ODIs, taking his total number of centuries to 72. In this format, Kohli scored a century after almost three years. The way he hit a difficult six against Haris Rauf in the T20 World Cup, he completed his century in 86 balls by taking Ibadat Hussain's ball to the audience. He has become the player to score the most centuries in international cricket after Sachin Tendulkar (100 centuries). The Indian team, which faced defeat in the first two matches of the three-match series, included Kishan in the team in place of injured captain Rohit Sharma and the batsman opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan and his partnership lasted only 4.1 overs.

Helped the team score beyond 400

Mehdi Hasan got Dhawan out LBW for three runs. On the ball of this off-spinner, captain Liton Das gave life by dripping Kohli's catch. After this, Kishan and Kohli easily scored runs on all sides of the ground. Instead of running and stealing runs, both were focusing more on putting boundaries. Kohli also joined in the celebration of Kishan's double century. He shared the joy with the young batsman by performing Bhangra on the field. After both of them returned to the pavilion, the Indian innings started faltering and this affected the run rate. Washington Sundar played an inning of 37 runs in 27 balls and helped the team score beyond 400.
