Detects multiple targets

The biggest feature of the S-400 is its mobileness. That is, it can be taken anywhere through the road. It is fitted with 92N6E electronically steered phased arrow radar which can detect multiple targets from a distance of about 600 kms. The biggest thing is that this system becomes ready for operation within 5 to 10 minutes after receiving the command. 160 objects can be tracked simultaneously with a single unit of S-400.

Creates a security cordon up to 400 km

2 missiles can be launched for a single target. The system that India is getting, its range is 400 km. That is, it can counter attack by detecting its target from 400 km away. Also, it can attack its target even at an altitude of 30 km. Surveillance radar is installed in this defense system, which forms a security circle around its operational area. As soon as a missile or other weapon enters this circle, the radar detects it and sends an alert to the command vehicle. As soon as the alert is received, the guidance radar detects the position of the target and launches the missile for counter attack.

India-Russia deal worth 40 thousand crores

India has signed a deal with Russia for 5 batteries of S-400. This entire purchase is worth 40 thousand crores. The S-400 is an air defense system, that is, it prevents attacks through the air. It is effective in preventing the attack of missiles, drones, rocket launchers and fighter jets of enemy countries. It has been made by Russia's Almaz Central Design Bureau. It is counted among the world's most modern air defense systems. India and Russia had a deal in 2018 for 5 units of the S-400.
