IND vs AFG: India has won the first match of the T20 series against Afghanistan by 6 wickets. With this, Team India has continued its unbeaten record against Afghanistan. This is India's 5th win over Afghanistan in T20. With this victory, the Indian team has gone 1-0 ahead in the 3-match series. The second match of the series will be played in Indore on 14 January.

Team India won the toss and decided to bowl in Mohali on Thursday. Afghanistan, batting first, scored 158 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Indian team achieved the target of 4 wickets in 17.3 overs.

Shivam Dubey scored unbeaten 60 runs, while Jitesh Sharma played an inning of 31 runs. Opener Shubhman Gill contributed 23 runs and Tilak Verma contributed 26 runs. In bowling, Mukesh Kumar and Akshar Patel took two wickets each.

Mohammad Nabi played an inning of 42 runs on 27 balls. He was the top scorer of the team. Azmatullah Omarzai scored 29 runs. Akshar Patel got two wickets for the Indian team.
