IND vs AFG: The first match of the T20 series between India and Afghanistan is being played at the IS Bindra Stadium of Punjab Cricket Association, Mohali. The Indian team has decided to bowl after winning the toss.

This series is important from the point of view of T-20 World Cup

This is the first T-20 match of Team India this year. The series is important for India from the perspective of T20 World Cup 2024. This is India's last T20 series before the tournament. Right after the IPL starting from the last week of March, the T20 World Cup will start in West Indies and America from June 1st.

Playing eleven

India: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubhman Gill, Tilak Verma, Shivam Dubey, Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishwoi, Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar.

Afghanistan: Ibrahim Zadran (captain), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Rahmat Shah, Azmatullah Omarzai, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Karim Janat, Gulbadin Naib, Naveen-ul-Haq, Fazalhaq Farooqui and Mujeeb ur Rehman.

Indian team came with two pacers, Jaiswal is not playing due to muscle strain.

The Indian team has come with three spinners and two fast bowlers. The playing eleven has one left arm and one right arm pacer in the form of Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar. The three spinners include Washington Sundar and Axar Patel along with Ravi Bishnoi. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been rested due to muscle strain.
