Iran Rejects New Talks with US, Accuses Washington of Blame Game

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated on Monday that there are no plans for new negotiations with the US. Iran accused the US of violating ceasefires, attempting maritime blockades, and failing to uphold international agreements.

Iran has explicitly stated that it currently has no plans for new negotiations with the United States. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei announced during a press conference on Monday that no preparations are underway for the next round of talks. This statement comes at a time of heightened uncertainty regarding diplomatic engagement between the two nations.

Allegations of Bad Faith and Ceasefire Violations

Iran has accused the United States of not being serious about the negotiation process. Baghaei stated that the US is repeatedly violating ceasefires and that there is a significant disconnect between American words and actions, which is eroding trust. According to the spokesperson, the US is engaged in a continuous 'blame game' by holding Iran responsible for regional tensions while failing to meet its own obligations.

Violations of International Norms and Maritime Incidents

According to the Iranian ministry, the United States failed to properly adhere to agreements related to Lebanon and retreated from its responsibilities.

Mediation via Pakistan and the 10-Point Proposal

Baghaei informed that all these issues and grievances were communicated to the US through Pakistan, acting as a mediator. Despite these efforts, Iran claims the American attitude has remained unchanged. Iran also revealed that a 10-point proposal was presented and discussed in Islamabad; however, subsequent US actions have further weakened the foundation of trust required for dialogue.

Regional Security and Warning of Military Response

Iran claims that the Strait of Hormuz was previously secure, but the situation deteriorated following actions by the United States and Israel. The spokesperson clearly stated that if the US or Israel launches any further attacks, the Iranian military will respond. He reiterated that Iran will continue to protect its national interests and emphasized that the possibility of new talks remains low until trust is restored.
