Kolkata Knight Riders kept their hopes of reaching the play-offs alive by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 54 runs in a do or die match of IPL 2022. Batting first after winning the toss, KKR scored 101 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Andre Russell scored 49 runs in 28 balls. Sam Billings scored 34 runs.

In reply, SRH's team could score only 123 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Abhishek Sharma scored the highest 43 runs. Russell also took 3 wickets showing his power with the ball.

With this result, KKR have 12 points from 13 matches. To reach the play-offs, they will have to win their last match and pray for the results of other league matches in their favor.
