Mumbai: On his birthday celebrated earlier this year, Sidharth Shukla was embroiled in a controversy. For the uninitiated, the actor was allegedly attacked by goons on his way back home with his brother-in-law and a video got circulated on the Internet accusing that Shukla was drunk and driving. Sidharth also got those goons arrested. Moreover, there were enough people to shut down reports of the actor being under the influence of alcohol. Now, Sidharth set the record straight on the incident and clarified the whole thing. The actor told ETimes, "Whatever happened is all out there; I think there have been a couple of video clips of the incident that people have seen. I just have one thing to say that with the online space being so vast, some of these platforms are really starved for news. Somebody said that I was drunk and that was the headline put out without any verification. Sadly, you have gone out to help someone and they make you out to be the wrong one."Sidharth added, "Of course, a major part of the media got it right. They went on to see the videos the following day and put out the correct information. It’s not like a person needs validation or recognition when he happens to do something good or he helps someone, but when it’s turned around and the person is accused of something, it leaves a bitter feeling in the heart. But I guess that’s life, so it’s okay."Meanwhile, on the work front, Sidharth Shukla is all set to play the leading role in Ekta Kapoor's web series titled Broken But Beautiful season three. The actor will be seen opposite Sonia Rathee in the show.
