The Trinamool Congress member said that the things said in the President's address about the freedom fighters are just word of mouth.

'Government does not follow the thoughts of great men'

Taking part in the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President's address, Mahua Moitra said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and other great men were mentioned in the President's address just for the sake of saying and the government does not follow their views.

Moitra said, 'Netaji had said that the government should have a neutral attitude towards all religions and if he was, would he have allowed the alleged rhetoric against Muslims in Haridwar Dharma Sansad in the past.'

The Trinamool MP alleged that the government does not trust the country's Annadata and is not guaranteeing them the Minimum Support Price (MSP). He said that the government does not trust the voter, so the voter ID card is being linked with the Aadhar card.

Raising the topic of Pegasus spyware, he said that in this matter the governments of all the countries are being told liars, so is only this government telling the truth. He said, 'Now the time has come that all the citizens of the country will have to fight for the republic.'
