Cricket Desk: Former cricketer and full-time pundit Kevin Pietersen shared another tweet in Hindi to congratulate Team India after the Virat Kohli-led side thrashed Joe Root's England in the historic pink-ball Test on Thursday at the newly reconstructed Narendra Modi Stadium. Known for his sly digs and note-worthy analysis of the gentlemen's game on social media, Pietersen was not pleased with the wicket of the Ahmedabad arena as England bowed out of the ICC World Test Championship following their devastating trounce at the hands of the Kohli-led side.

As England were crushed by Team India inside the first two days of the Day and Night Test match, Pietersen took another aim at the Motera match pitch. "Ek match ke liye aesa wicket theek hai jaha ballebaaz ki skill aur takaneek ka test hota hai . LEKIN main iss tara ka wicket aur nahi dekhna chahta aur mujhe lagta hai ki saare khiladi bhi nahi chahte . Bohut ache, India," Pietersen said in his tweet on Thursday.

Pietersen's remarks have come after India demolished England by 10 wickets to take a 2-1 lead in the four-match series. Besides Pietersen, former Indian cricketers Harbhajan Singh and VVS Laxman also opined that the Motera pitch is not ideal for Test cricket. "It is not an ideal pitch. India would also have been in trouble if England had scored 200 in their first innings. But it (the pitch) is the same for both sides," Harbhajan was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
