New Delhi : Amid reports of shortage of coal in the country's power plants, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that a decision can also be taken to cut power in the capital. Manish Sisodia said that if the shortfall in the supply of coal continues, then we may have to make a plan to cut power. Along with this, he also attacked the BJP-led central government and said that in the same way he had denied the lack of oxygen in the country. He said that there was a similar reduction in the supply of oxygen in the country in April, but the government denied it.

Manish Sisodia said on Sunday, 'If the supply of coal in Delhi does not increase in the next 24 hours, then we will have to consider power cut. There is a severe shortage of coal in many power plants. The Union Minister has denied the shortage of coal and criticized Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi regarding this. He further said, 'The BJP government is failing to handle the system of the country and they are running away from their responsibilities. As there is a crisis of coal today, in the same way the state governments had also pointed out the lack of oxygen to the central government. Even then the central government had run away from its responsibilities. Now the shortage of coal can create power crisis in the country.

Manish Sisodia said, 'This is a power crisis, the country can go into darkness. The governments of Punjab, UP, Rajasthan, Delhi have sought from the central government, but no solution can be found from its side so far. Instead of solving the problem, the central government is emphasizing that the state governments are wrong. Governments run cooperatively. We appeal to the central government to work more cooperatively with the states. Earlier on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal had said that if the central government did not handle the situation, then there could be a power cut in Delhi.

However, in the meantime, Union Energy Minister RK Singh says that there is no such shortage of coal in the country and things like power failure are being exaggerated. RK Singh said on Sunday that there is no power crisis in Delhi right now and it will not happen in the coming days. He said that we have a huge stock of coal, the coal crisis has been unnecessarily publicized. Nothing to worry about electricity. We are keeping an eye on the coal stock. RK Singh after presiding over the meeting with the discoms in Delhi said that we had called a meeting of all the office bearers today. The amount of electricity required in Delhi is being supplied and will continue to be so.
