Three naxalites killed in Latehar / Maoists had come to eat fish in the village, seven to eight escaped

Three Naxalites were killed in an encounter between security forces and TSPC militants near Heselbar and Marabar villages in Jharkhand's Latehar district. Two of the slain Maoists have been identified while efforts are on to identify one. After the encounter, the police recovered 26, 7.62 mm live bullets, one 7.62 mm SLR rifle, one SLR magazine, 15 cartridges, AK-47 live bullets and other material from the Naxalites.

All naxalites had come to eat fish

It is being told that all the Naxalites had come to eat fish in a house, but the police was aware of this and the police team was behind. Local people told that all the Naxalites often used to threaten the old lady living in the house and enter her house and leave after having food. As soon as the Naxalites started moving towards the forest after having food, the eyes of the Naxalites fell on the police. On seeing the police, the Naxalites started firing indiscriminately. In retaliation, three Naxalites were killed.

Seven to eight Naxalites escaped

After the encounter, some Naxalites fled while firing. Police have claimed that two Naxalites have also been shot. Jharkhand Jaguar and District Police personnel were present in the encounter.
