Iran Blast News: A massive explosion has occurred near a cemetery in Kerman city of Iran. 103 people died in this blast. Iran's state television reported a first and then a second explosion during celebrations in the south-eastern city of Kerman, saying at least 73 people were killed. This figure may increase further. "The explosions were caused by terrorist attacks," state media quoted a local official in Kerman province as saying. Earlier a news channel had earlier said that "several gas canisters exploded on the road leading to the cemetery". Crowds had gathered in the area for a ceremony to mark the anniversary of Soleimani's death. Soleimani, who led the Quds Force, the foreign operations arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for more than two decades. He died in a US air strike in Iraq in January 2020.

News of 170 people injured

State TV showed Red Crescent rescue workers tending to injured people at the ceremony, where hundreds of Iranians gathered to mark the anniversary of Soleimani's death. Some Iranian news agencies said 173 people were injured.
