Dhananjai Singh: The current executive of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has called a General Body Meeting (AGM) on March 9. Secretaries of all the district associations of the state have been asked to attend the meeting. In this, along with appointing the working president, there will be a brainstorming session on presenting the side of RCA before the government. RCA Secretary Bhavani Samota has written a letter to the secretaries of all the district associations of the state and said that on March 9 at 1 pm at KL Saini Stadium in Jaipur. General body meeting will be organized. Various issues will be discussed in it. All of you are requested to reach on time.

A proposal will be brought to make Dhananjay Singh the acting president.

According to sources, in the meeting of RCA to be held on March 9, a proposal will be brought to make Nagaur District Cricket Association President Dhananjay Singh Khinvsar the working president of RCA. All district union secretaries will unanimously support this. After this, there will be a demand to hold the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches under the supervision of RCA.

Let us tell you that Dhananjay Singh Khinvsar is the son of Rajasthan Government's Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar. In such a situation, it is expected that Dhananjay's name has been brought forward only after consensus is reached at the government level.

Cooperative Department is investigating

On the other hand, the Cooperative Department is investigating the dues of RCA and the MOU signed with the Sports Council. The Cooperative Department itself conducts elections for sports associations. In such a situation, since there was no current president, the Cooperative Department was preparing to take full power from the government by forming a committee. Its hearing will be held on March 12.

Officials associated with RCA and secretaries of district associations do not want to give power to the government. In such a situation, preparations are being made to appoint an acting president soon. Actually, becoming the acting president will not dissolve the executive. Dhananjay Singh is the son of Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Health Minister of Rajasthan Government. In such a situation, the Cooperative Department will not dissolve the executive of RCA due to the interference of the government.

Sports Council had sealed the offices of RCA

In fact, on February 22, the MOU between RCA and Sports Council regarding Sawai Mansingh Stadium had ended. After this, on 23 February, the Sports Council took possession of Sawai Mansingh Stadium from RCA. The RCA office was sealed. After this, 33 district cricket associations of the state started preparations to bring a no-confidence motion against RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot. As soon as Vaibhav Gehlot got wind of this, he resigned from his post.

After the resignation of Vaibhav Gehlot, the district unions had once again started preparations to make him the working president. So that the Indian Premier League matches could be organized in Jaipur under the supervision of RCA, but a consensus could not be reached among the district associations regarding a name. After this, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given the responsibility to the Sports Council to organize three matches of the Indian Premier League in Jaipur.
