T20 World Cup | In the current T20 World Cup, Afghanistan has played four matches in Group-2 so far, out of which two have won and two have been lost. Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi also won the toss in the matches played against Scotland, Pakistan and Namibia before the match against India, but decided to bat first each time. At the same time, in the match played against India on November 3, Nabi decided to bowl first after winning the toss, after which the fans are questioning his decision. Nabi explained after the match why he decided to bowl first against India.

Asked about his decision to bat later on a good wicket, Afghanistan captain Nabi said that due to the dew, he decided to bowl first. "We wanted to bat later because of the dew and the wicket looked good enough to bat on," he said. In the end there was not that much dew but India batted very well on this pitch and put our bowlers under pressure. We didn't rotate the strike well in the middle overs and came under pressure after losing wickets.

Batting first, India scored 210 for two in 20 overs, in reply, Afghanistan could only manage 144 for seven in 20 overs. Mujeeb ul Haq could not play in this match for Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul put together 140 runs for the first wicket. Rohit 74 and Rahul got out after scoring 69 runs. Rishabh Pant returned after scoring 27 not out and Hardik Pandya scoring 35 not out. In the bowling, Mohammed Shami took three, while R Ashwin took two wickets. Ashwin spent only 14 runs in 4 overs.
