Gyanvapi Case / Muslim side reaches court against right to worship, demands stay on court order

Gyanvapi Case: In the Gyanvapi case, the Muslim side has filed a petition in the District Court of Varanasi and appealed not to implement the court order for worship in the Vyas campus for fifteen days. At the same time, the arrangement committee of Gyanvapi Masjid has also filed an application in Allahabad High Court. This application has been filed demanding a ban on worship in the basement. In the application of the arrangement committee of the mosque, the Places of Worship Act 1991 has been cited. The Mosque Committee has demanded the High Court to hear the case on urgent basis. In the application, a demand has been made to stay the decision of Varanasi District Judge.

Pooja begins in Vyas ji's basement

Let us tell you that the District Court of Varanasi on Wednesday ordered to give Hindus the right to worship in the basement of Vyas ji located in the Gyanvapi complex. The Muslim side has challenged this order in the court. A few hours after being given the right to worship in Vyas ji's basement, the basement was opened late on Wednesday night and worship was done in it.

Senior officials of the district were also present

According to the information received, at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday night, after 31 years, Vyas ji's basement was opened for worship and was cleaned. According to sources, Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma, District Magistrate S. Rajalingam and Police Commissioner Mutha Ashok Jain reached the Gyanvapi complex late on Wednesday night after getting permission from the District Court to conduct puja in the basement of Vyas ji. According to sources, during this time, Ganeshwar Dravid, who had fixed the auspicious time for Ramlala's life consecration in Ayodhya, was also present with him. During this period, police force was deployed on a large scale in Gyanvapi and surrounding areas.

Hindu side claims puja till 1993

According to Hindu side's lawyer Madan Mohan Yadav, the court of District Judge Ajay Krishna Vishwesh has given the right to perform puja in the basement to Vyas ji's grandson Shailendra Pathak. He claimed that worship was held in this basement till the year 1993 but in the same year it was closed by the then government.
