The new wave of Corona in the country has battered the stock market on the first trading day of the week. In the morning, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened with a loss of just 9 points at 50,020, but after that the market fell. Around 10.20 in the morning, the Sensex lost 1391 points to reach 48,638.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty fell 30 points in the morning to open at 14,837.70, the Sensex broke 1391 points to reach 48,638 around 10.20 in the morning. The Nifty fell 388 points to reach 14,479.30 around 10.20 in the morning. All sectoral indices other than IT are running in red mark.

Prominent stocks rising in the Nifty include Infosys, Britannia, Wipro, Shree Cement and HCL Tech. In early trade, the NSE saw a rise of about 799 shares and a fall of 1552 shares.

Reliance Industries shares fell 1.5 per cent on Monday. In fact, the company announced that it had received approval to demerger its oil to chemical business into a wholly owned subsidiary. As a result, the company's shares have broken today. The shares of the company fell by about 2.8 per cent and fell by 1964.75.

Significantly, more than 1 lakh new cases have been reported in the country on Sunday and 478 people have died. The second wave of corona infection in the country has a tremendous impact. There have been 1,03,558 new cases of Corona virus infection in the country during the last 24 hours. Due to this, there has been increased concern among businessmen and investors.

Due to uncontrolled corona, night curfew is being imposed all over Maharashtra. Hotel, restaurant and theater will remain closed. The entire lockdown, malls, multiplexes and hotel-related stocks could be under pressure in the weekend.

On Friday, all kinds of trading in the stock market were closed due to Good Friday. Before this, the stock market rose on Thursday. On the first day of the new financial year 2021-22, the domestic stock market swung up due to heavy buying. At the end of trading, the Sensex gained about 521 points and closed at 50,029.83. At the same time, the Nifty also gained 177 points and closed at 14867 level beyond 14850.
