Opposition Meet / Next meeting of opposition will be held on July 13-14 in Bengaluru, not Shimla

Opposition Meet: NCP chief Sharad Pawar said on Thursday that the next meeting of opposition parties will be held in Bengaluru on July 13-14. Earlier this meeting was to be held in Shimla on July 10-12. The NCP chief said during a program in Pune that PM Modi has become restless after the meeting of opposition parties in Patna, referring to the June 23 meeting.

Leaders of 15 opposition parties participated in this meeting held in Bihar's capital Patna. Leaders of all parties showed solidarity in this meeting. After this meeting, it was said that the next meeting of the opposition unity will be held in Shimla next month i.e. July.

All opposition parties will fight together in 2024 elections – Nitish

After the meeting, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he had a good meeting with all the leaders. All the opposition parties have decided to contest the elections together. The meeting was attended by several leaders of opposition parties including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and NCP chief Sharad Pawar.

AAP-Congress stand firm after the meeting

After the meeting of opposition unity, there was a rift between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress regarding the ordinance. AAP issued a statement saying that we will not be present in the meeting where the Congress will be present. Actually, the Aam Aadmi Party had said that the Congress should clear its stand on the ordinance. On the other hand, while attacking the meeting of opposition unity, BJP said that it is an alliance of selfishness. Everyone has their own interests in this. Nothing is going to happen from this meeting.
