New Delhi : The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will now be seen moving in a convoy decorated with armored vehicles. PM Modi was recently seen at Hyderabad House for the first time in the new Maybach 650, when he met Russian President Vladimir Putin on his short visit to India. This vehicle was recently again seen in the Prime Minister's convoy.The Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard is the latest facelifted model with VR10 level protection – the highest ever protection offered in a production car. According to reports, Mercedes-Maybach launched the S600 Guard in India last year for ₹10.5 crore and the S650 could cost more than ₹12 crore.The Special Protection Group (SPG) responsible for the security of the Prime Minister of India identifies security needs and determines whether the person they are protecting needs a new vehicle.The Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 516bhp and around 900Nm of peak torque. Its maximum speed is limited to 160 kmph.
