The central government has taken a big decision regarding Republic Day. News agency ANI quoted government sources as saying that the Republic Day celebrations in the country will now start from January 23 instead of January 24. It has been told that the government has taken this step to include the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose in the celebration of Republic Day.

According to sources, this decision of the Modi government has been taken to remember the big personalities related to the history and culture of India. It is worth noting that the BJP government has already declared many dates as days of national importance. In these, on 14 August, Partition has been declared as Memorial Day, on 31 October Sardar Patel's birth anniversary as National Unity Day, on 15 November as Tribal Pride Day and 26 November as Constitution Day.
