India celebrated its 77th Republic Day with a magnificent display of military prowess and cultural heritage at the historic Kartavya Path in New Delhi. Vande Mataram: The Spirit of Sovereignty

The theme for this year's parade was 'Vande Mataram', emphasizing the mantra of independence and the goal of a prosperous, self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat). The event kicked off with a breathtaking flypast by Indian Air Force helicopters. Carrying the flag of 'Operation Sindoor', a symbolic nod to India's historical military victories. The tableaux from various states and departments further highlighted the nation's cultural diversity and technological progress.

The Might of BrahMos and Rafale

The Kartavya Path witnessed the display of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, a weapon that has redefined India's strike capabilities. Alongside, the Rafale and Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets performed daring maneuvers in the sky. These displays serve as a strategic deterrent, sending a clear message to adversaries about India's readiness to defend its borders. The flypast included a mix of fighter jets, transport aircraft, and attack helicopters, forming intricate patterns in the sky.

Indigenous Innovation: HMRV and Main Battle Tanks

A significant highlight was the High Mobility Reconnaissance Vehicle (HMRV), India's first indigenously designed armored light specialist vehicle developed by Mahindra Defence Systems. Commissioned in 2023, the HMRV is equipped with battlefield surveillance radars capable of detecting low-flying threats. The parade also featured the T-90 Bhishma and Arjun MK-1 main battle tanks, followed. By the Nag Missile System (TRACKED) MK-2, showcasing the heavy-hitting capability of the Indian Army.

Hypersonic Leap: The LR-ASHM Missile

India officially entered the elite club of nations possessing hypersonic technology with the display of the Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LR-ASHM). Developed by DRDO, this missile can travel at speeds exceeding. Mach 5 and hit targets up to 1500 kilometers away. Its low-altitude flight path and extreme speed make it nearly invisible to enemy radar systems, providing the Indian Navy with a significant tactical advantage in the Indian Ocean region.

Special Forces and Advanced Drone Tech

The parade also showcased the strength of India's Special Forces,. Featuring the Ajayketu All-Terrain Vehicle and the Dhwansak Light Strike Vehicle. In a nod to modern warfare, the 'Divyastra' and 'Shaktibaan' systems were displayed, which take advantage of swarm drones and tactical hybrid UAVs for advanced surveillance and precision strikes. The Akash weapon system and ABHRA (Medium Range Surface to Air Missile) further demonstrated India's solid multi-layered air defense umbrella.
