Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has demanded the arrest of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for making objectionable remarks against Prophet Muhammad. He said that action should be taken against them as per the law of India. Owaisi said that Nupur Sharma will be projected as a big leader and she can also become a contender for the post of CM of Delhi.
Owaisi said that BJP is protecting Nupur Sharma. He also asked the Chief Minister of Telangana to arrest him and bring him to Telangana. AIMIM chief said, "BJP is protecting Nupur Sharma. We are appealing to the PM and he does not speak a word. AIMIM has filed a complaint and an FIR has been registered. I am the CP of this state and I also want to ask CM to send Delhi Police and bring Mohtarma (Sister Nupur Sharma) here. Protests erupted in various states including Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh over controversial remarks made by Sharma and Jindal on Prophet Muhammad.
