Pakistan Flood: Due to heavy rains and floods in Pakistan, the situation has become quite frightening. The situation has deteriorated so much that according to a report, one third (1/3) of Pakistan has been submerged in water. With the death of hundreds of people, lakhs of people have become homeless. Due to the devastated crops due to flood waters, the supply of food is also seen decreasing day by day.

It is being told that this year the monsoon rains have been 10 times more than normal. At the same time, due to the floods, the life of the people in Pakistan has become completely disturbed. Along with the food shortage, a health crisis has also arisen. According to a report by CNN, 27 million people in Pakistan did not have enough food before the flood, while now this danger has increased after the flood.

People facing food crisis: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, said in a statement on August 30 that the people of the country are facing a food crisis. At the same time, the price of vegetables like tomato and onion is touching Assam. He said that, we are trying to provide food to the people. It is our motive that they should not sleep hungry.

Things got so bad

So far more than 1200 people have died due to the floods in Pakistan, including 400 children. At the same time, 3.3 crore people have been affected by the floods. More than 11 lakh homes have been damaged by the floods and 18,000 schools have been flooded across Pakistan. At the same time, more than 160 bridges have been broken due to floods in Pakistan. 5 thousand kilometers of roads have been ruined, while 35 lakh acres of crops have been destroyed, while more than 8 lakh cattle have lost their lives. Not this, now people in Pakistan are also suffering from serious diseases. Due to the flood, diseases like diarrhoea, cholera, dengue and malaria are spreading rapidly.

How did China become responsible for the situation?

One reason behind this situation created in Pakistan is too much rain, while China is also believed to be the reason for this. Actually, Pakistan seems to be ruined due to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Now understand how Pakistan was ruined because of CPEC. Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are mountainous areas. Here there are more than 7200 glaciers in the upper reaches of Pakistan including the Karakoram Range. Glaciers are melting due to rising temperatures due to China's actions. Heavy rains and this melted glacier caused floods. The World Bank has warned that by the end of this century, one-third of the glaciers in Pakistan will be lost, due to which there may be a very large-scale drought in Pakistan. At the same time, CPEC-China has put a line of construction works in this area, due to which the whole environment is being affected and the tragedy of flood is one of them.
