PAK vs NZ: Like every time, once again stuck in a difficult situation, the Pakistan cricket team has given up the hope of comeback by working hard. Pakistan, trying to stay in the race for the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023, defeated New Zealand by 21 runs (Duckworth-Lewis rule) in an important match. In this way, its hopes of reaching the semi-finals have got a little more strength, while despite the fourth consecutive defeat, New Zealand is still in the race. Fakhar Zaman and Kudrat's Nizam played a big role in this important victory of Pakistan, who snatched the match from New Zealand despite scoring 401 runs together.

Two things were already being guaranteed about this match to be held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru - first, there will be heavy rain of runs and second, there will be rain from the sky in between. Both things proved to be true. Only 75 overs could be played in the match but 601 runs were scored in it. This match was important for both the teams but it was more important for Pakistan and like many previous occasions in the history of the World Cup, when everything seemed to be over for the Pakistani team, it played the most dangerous game at that time.

The bat of New Zealand's young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who is proving to be the star of this World Cup, roared once again. The young left-handed batsman, playing his first World Cup, laid the foundation for taking the team to a big score by scoring his third century in the tournament. Rachin got good support from captain Kane Williamson, who was returning after injury. There was a partnership of 180 runs between the two for the second wicket. Ravindra was successful in scoring a century but captain Williamson missed by only 5 runs. Mohammad Wasim Junior dismissed Rachin and Iftikhar Ahmed dismissed Williamson.

Even after the dismissal of these two batsmen, the attack of the Kiwi batsmen continued and in the next 14 overs they added 140 runs to take the team to 401 runs. After South Africa, only New Zealand could cross the 400 mark in this World Cup. For that, Darryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner scored runs quickly. Mohammad Wasim proved to be the most effective bowler for Pakistan, while senior pacers like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf were beaten the most.
