New Delhi: Many important decisions were taken today in the conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. In this meeting, PM Modi raised the issue of early return of India's economic fugitives including Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya. The two countries released a roadmap for the next decade ie Roadmap -2030 for the relationship. In this, both countries pledged to increase their participation in many fields including Indo-Pacific.

Both countries expressed confidence to take their partnership to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership. The important decision taken during this meeting is the new India-UK trade partnership. Under this, both the fifth and sixth ranked economies of the world will increase business among themselves.

The UK announced opening more of its fisheries sector to India, giving more opportunities to professional services, including Indian nurses. At the same time, India assured each other opportunities for fruits, medical equipment and advocacy for Britain here.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Modi raised the issue of early return of India's economic fugitives including Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya. At the same time, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the British Criminal Justice System is facing some bottlenecks. But the UK government wants that the perpetrators of crimes against India should be present in front of the law and order system.

Migration and mobility agreements were also signed between India and Britain on the occasion. Under this, the UK will provide employment opportunities to 3000 young professionals from India. They will have a chance to work without a labor market test for two years. At the same time, India has given assurance that if Indian citizens arrive in Britain illegally, they can be withdrawn. Through this, while there will be an attempt to increase immigration in a legitimate way, there will be an effort to reduce the number of illegal migrants.

Cooperation agreement in the pharmaceutical sector

India and the UK have also entered into a cooperation agreement in the pharmaceutical sector. Under this, both countries will cooperate in improving the quality standards of medicines. There was also talk of vaccine cooperation between the Prime Ministers of India and Britain. Prime Minister Johnson said that India would also benefit from the vaccine manufacturing capacity being established in the UK by the Serum Institute.

India and the UK have also signed the Global Innovation Partnership. This will help to take the innovations of developing countries including India to the wider international market. For this, both India and Britain will contribute.
