Employment / PM Modi directs secretaries to fill vacant posts immediately

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the secretaries of all the ministries to take immediate steps to fill up the vacant posts in the central government departments. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba said that the Prime Minister has asked the private sector to give impetus to the private sector for manufacturing and employment generation.

In the meeting on April 2 also, the Prime Minister asked to focus on employment in private and government sectors. Gauba has written a letter to all the secretaries asking them to take immediate steps to implement the suggestions of the Prime Minister.

In the letter dated April 4, it has been mentioned that cases of petty offenses and violations should be ignored. He said that there is a need to review all such provisions. This work has been asked to be done in a time bound manner. In the letter, it has been asked to give high priority to employment.
