India-UAE Relation: The Prime Minister will reach Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates on 14 February. This will be PM Modi's third visit to UAE in the last 8 months. He will inaugurate the first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi. The temple has been built under the leadership of an organization named BAPS, which has built the Akshardham temple of Delhi. UAE Ambassador to India Abdul Nasser Al Shali has described the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple as a special opportunity for the UAE. He says that India and UAE are strengthening their friendship.

PM Modi will be in UAE on 14 and 15 February. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during his two-day visit, PM Modi will participate in bilateral talks with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Only on the invitation of the President, PM Modi will attend the World Government Summit 2024 to be held in Dubai as a guest of honour. He will also address the summit. It is expected that after the inauguration of the temple and bilateral talks, relations will become stronger and international issues will be discussed. Know, how the relations between the two countries are getting stronger and why is this friendship important?

Strengthening relations with top trading partners

Both UAE and India are trading partners. Between the year 2022-2023, bilateral trade between the two countries was worth 85 billion dollars. At the same time, UAE was included in the top-4 countries in terms of Foreign Direct Investment in India. Now apart from trade, both the partner countries want to establish their relations in defence, energy, space and IT sectors also. Recently a treaty regarding this has also been approved.

Abdul Nasser Al Shali says, UAE is the fourth largest investor and third largest trading partner for India. The aviation sector can prove to be a big turning point in terms of investment.

Golden Visa for Indians

India's Ambassador to UAE Sanjay Sudhir says, UAE's "Golden Visa" scheme has played an important role for Indians. There are about 35 lakh Indian citizens in UAE, which is the largest number in any part of the world. But if there is more trade and more investment, then people-to-people contacts also become stronger. The increasing number of Indians in UAE is also playing an important role in the development there.

Friendship is also necessary to answer China

UAE is like India's gateway to enter West Asia. This is also necessary because China is struggling to increase its status in West Asia and the Middle East. Some time ago, China played the role of peacemaker between Iran and Saudi.

In March last year, Iran's National Security Advisor Ali Shamkhani and Saudi Arabia's Musaad bin Mohammad Al Aiban signed an agreement in Beijing in the presence of China's most senior diplomat Wang Yi to restore diplomatic ties. This unexpected development has had a wide-ranging impact on the entire region. China is strategically building relations in West Asia, especially with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, covering diplomacy, military cooperation, strategic partnership, technology, energy and health. In such a situation, India's growing friendship with UAE is a good sign.
