The spiritual town of Vrindavan is currently witnessing a wave of questions and concerns following the suspicious death of a disciple at the Keli Kunj Ashram. The deceased, identified as Rasik Dulari Sharan Deepak Lodhi, was found under circumstances that have sparked a significant controversy, leading many to wonder about the silence of the revered saint, Premanand Maharaj. As the news of the incident spread, families from various states have started arriving in Mathura, desperately searching for their children who are associated with the ashram. Amidst this turmoil, a central question has dominated the public discourse: Where is Sant Premanand Maharaj? The saint, who is usually seen engaging with devotees, has maintained a notable silence regarding the events at Keli Kunj Ashram, prompting many to seek answers about his current location and his stance on the tragic demise of his disciple.
The Search for Premanand Maharaj
For several days, efforts were made to reach Premanand Maharaj to get his perspective on the suicide of Rasik Dulari. During this search, it was discovered that the Maharaj wasn't present at the Keli Kunj Ashram. Investigations into his whereabouts revealed that he has not been at the Keli Kunj premises for several months. Instead, claims surfaced that he has been residing at the Yamuna Vihar Kunj, located across the Yamuna River in the Belvan area. This revelation shifted the focus of the inquiry towards the more secluded locations associated with the saint's spiritual practice. The search for answers led to the discovery of his multiple residences and the high level of security surrounding them.
The Three Main Locations of the Saint
Premanand Maharaj is known to have three primary locations where he stays or has stayed in the past, while these include:
- Keli Kunj Ashram: Located at Varghat, Parikrama Marg in Mathura.
- Yamuna Vihar Kunj: Situated across the Yamuna River in the Belvan area.
- Krishnam Apartment: A flat located in Raman Reti.
Security and Restricted Access at Belvan
To verify the claims of his presence at the Belvan ashram, a journey was made to the site, while near the famous Mahalakshmi Temple, a dirt path leads towards the Yamuna Vihar Kunj. At the entrance, several disciples of the ashram were seen stationed. They informed visitors that the ashram is currently closed to the public and no one is allowed to enter. On top of that, the use of cameras or any recording equipment is strictly prohibited in the vicinity. The security measures at the ashram are exceptionally tight, described as so stringent that not even a bird could fly in without permission, while high-definition cameras have been installed everywhere, including on the trees, to monitor the area around the ashram, which is located about 500 meters away from the Mahalakshmi Temple.
The Message from Premanand Maharaj
Despite his physical absence from the public eye at Keli Kunj, Premanand Maharaj issued a message from the Yamuna Vihar Kunj Ashram regarding the death of his disciple, while in his message, he characterized the incident as a part of the "worldly play" (sansarik leela). He urged his followers and the public to leave such matters aside and focus their minds on their spiritual chants and prayers (bhajan). A disciple present at the Belvan ashram confirmed, during an off-camera conversation, that Premanand Maharaj has been residing at this specific location for the last 5 months. This confirmation explains his absence from the Keli Kunj Ashram during the recent controversy.
Ongoing Police Investigation
While the spiritual community reflects on the Maharaj's message, the legal and investigative process continues. The Mathura police are currently engaged in a thorough investigation into the death of Rasik Dulari Sharan Deepak Lodhi. The authorities are looking into all possible angles to determine the exact circumstances that led to the disciple's death. As the investigation proceeds, the silence of the Maharaj and the restricted access to his current residence remain points of intense public interest and scrutiny.
