Raisina Dialogue from today / Prime Minister Modi will launch three-day dialogue, brainstorming on challenging global issues

The seventh Raisina Dialogue will be inaugurated in the capital Delhi from today. PM Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural address in it. This is a multilateral dialogue program organized by India, in which geopolitical and geo-economic global issues will be discussed.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Raisina Dialogue will run from 25 to 27 April. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will be the chief guest. Raisina Dialogue 2022 is based on the theme 'Terranova - Impassed, Impassioned, Imperiled'. In this, mainly six topics will be discussed. Earth is called Terra Nova. The purpose of naming the dialogue is to see the world from a new perspective. The six main themes of the dialogue are: 'Rethinking Democracy, Trade, Technology and Ideology, Ending Multilateralism: A Networked Global Order', Water Caucus: Turbulent Tide in the Indo-Pacific, Community Incorporation: Health, Development and Earth First. Responsibility, Green Change: Common Essentials, Separating Realities, Samson vs. Goliath: The Persistent and Relentless Technology War.

The Raisina Dialogue 2022 will be attended by former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bilt, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, former Australian Prime Minister Anthony Abbott, former Maldives President Nasheed. Apart from these, foreign ministers of countries like Argentina, Armenia, Guyana, Norway, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal etc. are expected to participate in it.

210 speakers from 90 countries will be involved

The Raisina Dialogue 2022 is being jointly organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). Last year, this dialogue went virtual due to the Kovid epidemic. This time the speaker will be directly involved in it. There will be around 100 sessions and 210 speakers from around 90 countries will participate.

Raisina Dialogue started in 2016

Raisina Dialogue was started in the year 2016. The Raisina Dialogue is an annual conference in which geo-political and geo-economic issues are discussed. It is jointly organized by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and Observer Research Foundation (ORF). Foreign, defense and finance ministers of various countries are included in Raisina.

The main objective of the Raisina Dialogue is to explore possibilities and opportunities for Asian integration as well as for better coordination of Asia with the rest of the world. The Raisina Dialogue is a multilateral conference committed to addressing the challenging issues facing the global community.
