Cricket | The Pakistan Super League season concluded in the UAE. Multan Sultans won the title of this league. In the title match, Multan defeated defending champion Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs. After winning this title, Multan also got prize money.

Prize money is half of Virat's salary

After winning the title of PSL 2021, Multan Sultans were given only Rs 3.5 crore as prize money. This prize money is very less in the competition of India's IPL. Not only this, BCCI gives double the salary of this prize money to Indian team captain Virat Kohli. BCCI gives Rs 7 crore annually to Virat. At the same time, Virat gets Rs 17 crore from his IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

IPL winning team gets huge amount

While the team that won the PSL got Rs 3.5 crore, Mumbai Indians, who won the IPL 2020 title, were given Rs 20 crore as a reward. Whereas last season's runners-up Delhi Capitals were given Rs 12.5 crore as prize money. If both the leagues are compared, then PSL does not stand anywhere ahead of IPL.

Multan won the title

Talking about the match, Multan scored 206 runs thanks to Shoaib Maqsood's 65 and Riley Russo's 50. At the same time, Peshawar's team, which came to chase the target, could only manage 159 runs losing 9 wickets. Imran Tahir took 3 wickets for Multan.
