IND vs BAN: Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar is fuming after Team India's humiliating one-wicket defeat in the first ODI against Bangladesh in Mirpur on Sunday. A weak team like Bangladesh snatched victory from the mouth of the Indian team and Sunil Gavaskar has put a class on Team India captain Rohit Sharma on this matter.

Gavaskar fumed on Team India's defeat

Sunil Gavaskar has pulled Team India and Captain Rohit Sharma fiercely. In the first ODI against Bangladesh, Team India was all out for just 186 runs and Bangladesh achieved the target of 187 runs in 46 overs. After the defeat in the first ODI against Bangladesh, Team India captain Rohit Sharma made an excuse that we had scored 30 to 40 runs less and hence we lost the match.

Gavaskar called it the biggest responsible for Team India's defeat

Sunil Gavaskar got angry on this statement of Rohit Sharma and said, 'Team India did not score 30 to 40 runs but scored 70 to 80 runs less.' According to Sunil Gavaskar, Team India should have scored at least 250 runs against Bangladesh. Team India had dropped Bangladesh's 9 wickets for 136 runs, but for the last wicket, there was a 51-run partnership between Mehdi Hasan Miraj and Mustafizur Rahman.

Had it been so, the result of the match would have been different.

Sunil Gavaskar said on Sony Sports Network, 'I believe the match should have ended there. Our bowlers, performing brilliantly, had dropped their 9 wickets for 136 runs. Mehdi Hasan Miraj also got lucky and his catches were dropped. But we should not forget that Team India had scored only 186 runs.

India had scored 70 to 80 runs less. Had Team India scored 250 runs, the result of the match would have been different.
