Ajmer: In yet another crime against girl child, a Class 8 girl student was allegedly raped by a man residing in his colony. The accused also shot a video of the criminal act and made it viral on the internet.Nasirabad Sadar police have now arrested the accused. The matter came to light after the video of the crime became public and reached the parents of the victim.Police said the accused is a 31-year-old driver, who lives in the same colony as the victim. In their police complaint, the girl's parents said they received a video in which their neighbour, who is a driver, was seen raping their daughter.The parents further told police that they confirmed the incident with their daughter who told them that the accused called her to his house for some work and raped her once she went inside. The accused also threatened her and made a video of the criminal act. The accused driver threatened the girl not to tell anyone about the incident. Following a complaint by the victim's parents, the police have arrested the accused. According to Nasirabad SHO, the video of the crime was shot around 10 days ago. The girl has been sent for medical examination.The accused driver has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police said they are probing the matter further.
