IPL 2022 | In the 31st match of IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs to finish second behind Gujarat Titans in the points table. At one point, Bangalore did not start well and the team lost its four wickets till 62 runs. RCB then set a target of 182 runs in front of Lucknow on the basis of a strong innings of 96 runs by captain Faf du Plessis. In front of this score, LSG could only manage 163 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. After the win, captain du Plessis told that the team has devised a way out of such situations.

Du Plessis said, 'I was feeling a little tired at the end of the innings. The boundary is big on one side and the ball was also coming to a halt. So a lot of effort had to be made to set the boundary. Teams lose wickets in the first few overs. But it happens, happened to us today too but we also found a way out of it. Who is where the team is, it is not in our control, where we are at is our focus. DK, Shahbaz are in great form. Harshal is a great bowler, it doesn't matter if he goes bad for a day or two.

Chasing the target of 182 runs, Lucknow Super Giants did not start well. Quinton de Kock 3 and Manish Pandey returned to the pavilion after scoring 6. Both these batsmen were made their victim by Josh Hazlewood. After this, Harshal Patel gave a big blow to Lucknow by dismissing captain KL Rahul on a personal score of 30. From here RCB started strengthening the hold in the match. After this, Krunal Pandya played an innings of 42 runs in 28 balls, but apart from him, none of the batsmen could score more runs.
