Brij Bhushan Singh: Wrestlers had accused former WFI chairman Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual exploitation and are adamant on demanding his arrest. He has withdrawn the allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The Delhi Police has recorded the statement of the minor female wrestler in the Patiala House Court. The minor wrestler has taken back his statement by going to the Patiala House Court two days back.

The protesting wrestlers had announced to immerse their medals in the Ganges and held a meeting a few days after going to Haridwar, but were stopped by farmer leader Naresh Tikait. After his return, an ultimatum was given to the government and a demand was made to arrest BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh before 9 June.

The wrestlers also met Sports Minister Anurag Thakur before meeting Amit Shah. Thakur promised an "impartial investigation into his allegations". Women wrestlers, including minors, have accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment. Till now an FIR has been registered against Brij Bhushan and he has been booked under the POCSO Act.

The minor wrestler had made the allegation in the FIR

The FIR details the allegations of sexual abuse. According to the FIR, the girl had said that Brij Bhushan pulled her towards him and pressed her shoulder very hard. Then deliberately he slipped his hand under her shoulder. Touched her body, touched her navel and said, you support me, I will support you. Further said to stay in touch with me.

• The minor wrestler had gone to the court with her father and took back her statement under section 164 before the magistrate in the court.
• Now the question is whether the POCSO case will be dropped if the statement is withdrawn. There is no possibility of arrest if poxo is removed.
• 2 FIRs have been registered against Brij Bhushan. In 10 cases, 7 wrestlers have lodged an FIR against Brij Bhushan.
• Sakshi Malik has distanced herself from the wrestlers protesting against Brij Bhushan.
• Now another woman wrestler Vinesh Phogat has also distanced herself from the movement.
• Vinesh-Sakshi stayed away from Sonipat Panchayat as well.
• Bajrang Punia had joined Sonipat Panchayat.
• Bajrang Punia is trying to persuade Vinesh Phogat.
