Republic Day is celebrated on Ashtami Tithi

Let us tell you that the Republic was established in India on 26 January 1950 and that day was the Ashtami date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month. Therefore, Republic Day is celebrated every year on the Ashtami date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month in Bada Ganesh temple of Ujjain.
