Bollywood desk: We all know Rishi Kapoor is very active on social media and post something or the other. Recently he shared a joke about Coronavirus and it’s side effects which was more of ‘sexist’ comment according to Twitterati. The joke didn’t go down well with netizens. He faced a lot of trolls even from director Shoojit Sircar, who calls him misogynist and sexist.

The joke shared by @chintskap had a picture of a man with long ears and ‘5 days at home listening to wife’ written on it. Rishi captioned the pic as “On a lighter note! Side effects of the Coronavirus”.

One of the Twitter users wrote, “Sir this Misogynist and sexist AF! Itni hi problem hai life mei toh shaadi nahi karni chahiye thi na life mei! It’s 2020, wife jokes are NOT funny!”

Piku director Shoojit Sircar slammed Rishi Kapoor and wrote, “Ya just 5 days.. woman /wife’s/mother’s have been locked down since generations serving the family”.

In another tweet, the Rajma Chawal actor told netizens that this is not a time to trivialize issues. “Anyone cracking jokes about my country or on my lifestyle, will be deleted. Be aware and warned. This is a serious matter. Help us to tide over the situation,” Rishi wrote. The veteran actor even changed his Twitter description to what he wrote in his tweet.
