Veteran politician Ajit Singh was admitted to the Ultra Max Hospital in Gurugram, where he breathed his last at the age of 86 due to a corona virus infection. RLD supremo Chaudhary Ajit Singh and his granddaughter became Corona positive on April 24. He was admitted to Ultra Max Hospital in Gurugram after his condition worsened. He was on ventilator for the last four-five days if the condition did not improve. But he died on Thursday morning. Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Ajit Singh was born on 12 February 1939 in Meerut. Many leaders including Samajwadi Party have mourned his death.

Who was Chaudhary Ajit Singh

Chaudhary Ajit Singh, son of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, has been the National President of the Rashtriya Lok Dal. He has been a seven-time MP from Baghpat in western Uttar Pradesh. He was the Union Minister of Civil Aviation during the tenure of Manmohan Singh's government. At the same time, the Minister of Agriculture had also served in Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government. His son's name is Jayant Chaudhary, who has been an MP from Mathura in the 15th Lok Sabha.
