Delhi: BJP has demolished the fort of Samajwadi Party in Azamgarh and Rampur. After the defeat in the by-elections, the Samajwadi Party has suffered a major setback. After losing these two seats, the Akhilesh Yadav-led party's score in the Lok Sabha has dropped drastically. The Samajwadi Party has reached the lowest score ever in the Lok Sabha. Only three members of the party are left in the Lok Sabha. In such a situation, it can be said that the general election of 2024 is also not going to be easy for the SP.

In 2017, Akhilesh Yadav took over the command of the Samajwadi Party. After this he faced a lot of criticism inside and outside the party. Akhilesh Yadav did not even reach Rampur and his old seat Azamgarh to campaign for the elections. Allies of the party were criticizing Akhilesh on this. Akhilesh Yadav had registered victory in Azamgarh in 2019. Earlier Mulayam Singh Yadav had won from here in 2014.

In the past, Om Prakash Rajbhar, the chief of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, an ally of SP, had also said a lot about Akhilesh Yadav. Rajbhar was engaged for a long time in Azamgarh for the promotion of Dharmendra Yadav. He had said that Akhilesh Yadav is sitting in the AC room and does not want to come out.

Azam Khan was throwing full force in Rampur. However, as soon as the SP candidate lost the election, questions arose as to why Akhilesh Yadav did not reach these seats to campaign. People say that if Mulayam Singh and Shivpal had been together today and had come here for campaigning, the result would have been different.

After the defeat, SP candidate from Azamgarh Dharmendra Yadav said, there could be some reason or strategy behind this that Akhilesh Yadav did not come to campaign. It is not always necessary that the president of the party should come to campaign in the by-elections. He is the president of the party and is capable. He is busy with many other things. Let us inform that Dharmendra Yadav lost to Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirhua of BJP by 8679 votes.
