IPL Auction 2023: With batsmen like Venkatesh Iyer, Gurbaj, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer, and Andre Russell, former India star Sanjay Manjrekar believes that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) need some good fast bowlers and hence 23 Shardul Thakur and Lockie Ferguson can be good options in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction in Kochi on December.This big shortfall can sink KKRTalking exclusively on Star Sports show 'Game Plan Auction Special', Manjrekar explained how KKR will look for good players in the auction with limited funds. Sanjay Manjrekar said, 'When I see KKR's playing XI, Venkatesh Iyer, Gurbaj, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer, Andre Russell, the batting looks fine, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakraborty are there. Therefore, I think it is the need of some good fast bowlers, for which they may have to pay a hefty amount.Need to buy these players in auctionSanjay Manjrekar said, 'Look, this is a performance that we have seen with regard to auctions to KKR, they (Shivam) also paid seven crores for Mavi, so they go a little overboard, I don't think. They are best on the auction table. Mumbai Indians and CSK do really well in the auction. Two-time IPL winners, KKR have Rs 7.05 crore - the least amount among all ten teams in the IPL 2023 auction. They have 11 slots available and can buy up to three overseas players.
