NOIDA / Sehwag's wife appeared in court in check bounce case, court had issued non-bailable warrant

Aarti Sehwag, wife of former Indian cricket team player Virender Sehwag, appeared in the district court on Tuesday in the check bounce case. She was on bail from Additional Court-3 of the District Court. The court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him for not appearing in court since July 2019. His bail has been accepted in the court.

Advocate Virendra Nagar told that Aarti was absent from the court continuously since July 5, 2019. His lawyer also did not make any application. The court of Additional Court-3 had issued a non-bailable warrant against Aarti. Appearing in the court on Tuesday, Aarti applied for the recall of the non-bailable warrant. The judge has accepted while instructing Aarti. Aarti has to take bail again due to the issue of warrant.

There is a case of check bounce of 2.5 crores

A non-bailable warrant was issued against Aarti in the 2.5 crore check bounce case. Aarti is a partner in SMGK Agro Products, a company that manufactures various products. Ashok Vihar (Delhi) SMGK Company had taken an order from Lakhanpal Promoters & Builder Company but could not fulfill it.

Because of this SMGK company had to return Rs. to Lakhanpal promoters. To meet the obligation, SMGK had given a check of Rs 2.50 crore to Lakhanpal promoters. The company placed a check in the bank which bounced. Aarti Sehwag is the director of SMGK. For this reason a warrant was issued against him.
