Chandy has said that he has not done anything wrong and is ready to face any investigation. In the solar scam, the two main accused, a man and a woman, had allegedly duped investors of lakhs of rupees by promising to install solar panels for them. The two primary suspects were arrested in October 2013 and sentenced to three years in prison on December 16, 2016. Chandy and other Congress leaders were later accused of soliciting money and having sex.
