T20 World Cup | The Bangladesh cricket team has suffered a major setback in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 being played in UAE and Oman. The team's star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2021 due to a hamstring injury. Star all-rounder Shakib is the highest wicket-taker in the history of T20 World Cup. Shakib also tops the list of highest wicket-takers in T20 Internationals.

Bangladesh have lost all their three matches so far and the team is almost out of the race for the semi-finals. Australia and Bangladesh will meet in Dubai on Thursday. In the group of these two teams, England are currently leading the team by winning three out of three matches. Shakib currently holds the record for taking most wickets in T20 Internationals. He made this record in the match played against Scotland in this T20 World Cup.

"He has a hamstring injury and the scan report will tell you about the injury, but he has been ruled out of the tournament," the source told ANI. Earlier this week, the technical committee included Rubel Hossain in the Bangladesh team. He was included in the team in place of Mohammad Saifuddin. Fast bowler Rubel, who has played 159 international matches including 28 T20 Internationals, was named in the side in place of Saifuddin. Saifuddin was ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury.
