India vs Australia: The Indian team could not achieve a happy end to its glorious journey in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Team India, which remained unbeaten till the semi-finals, had to face defeat by 6 wickets at the hands of Australia in the final match. In this match, from the batsmen to the bowlers of Team India, no one was successful in showing excellence. Australian players celebrated fiercely after winning the ODI World Cup trophy for the sixth time. The photo of Kangaroo team all-rounder Mitchell Marsh went viral on social media in which he is resting with his feet on the World Cup trophy. Now Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has also given his reaction regarding this photo.

I felt bad after seeing this photo

In the World Cup 2023, Mohammed Shami's bowling was discussed throughout the tournament, in which he took the maximum of 24 wickets. After reaching his home in Amroha, when Shami was talking to some reporters there, he was asked a question about the viral photo of Mitchell Marsh. To this Shami replied that I felt very bad after seeing this photo. The trophy which teams from all over the world were fighting to win and which they wanted to keep on their heads, you should not step on it like this, it was really sad.

You must be mentally strong when you are away from the team.

Mohammed Shami did not get a chance to play in the first four matches of this World Cup. After this, due to Hardik Pandya being out due to injury, it was decided to include Shami in the team. Shami fully seized this opportunity and secured his place. Shami consistently played the role of the third fast bowler in the team very well and emerged as a match-winning bowler. On the question of being out of the team, Shami said that when you are sitting out of four matches, you have to be mentally strong. Sometimes you go under a lot of pressure but when the team is performing well then you remain happy.
