Cricket Desk: Australian spin-bowling icon Shane Warne reportedly suffered an accident after he fell from his bike on 28th November 2021. Warne was driving the bike with his son Jackson riding pillion and slipped from the bike.

Even though Warne avoided any kind of serious injury, the 52-year-old is still experiencing some pain. Warne also went to the hospital for a check-up to make sure that he has not injured any part of his body.

“I’m a bit battered and bruised and very sore,” said Shane Warne after the accident according to The Age. However, Warne is slated to make a return to the commentary box for the 1st Ashes Test match that is slated to commence on 8th December 2021 at The Gabba.

Shane Warne is one of the greatest bowlers to have played the game

Shane Warne is arguably one of the greatest bowlers to have ever graced the sport. The leg-spin wizard played 145 Tests and 194 ODIs for the Australian side. While Warne scalped a whopping 708 wickets in the white flannels, he took 293 wickets in the ODI format of the game.

Warne has taken a total of 38 five-wicket hauls in his illustrious career and was a part of the victorious Australian side that won the 1996 and 1999 World Cup as well.

In fact, Warne won the Player of the Match award in the final of the 1999 World Cup. In the summit clash of the tournament, the leg-spin colossus scalped a 4-wicket haul against the Pakistan side and helped Australia thrash their opponents with 8 wickets and 179 balls to spare. Warne played his last international match for the kangaroos in the year 2007.

Shane Warne was also a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and led the Rajasthan Royals (RR) side to their 1st and only IPL title in the year 2008.
