Gopalganj. A couple who had a love marriage in Gopalganj, Bihar tried to commit suicide on the night of their honeymoon. After taking seven rounds, on the honeymoon itself, the loving couple tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. The newlyweds were admitted to Sadar Hospital in critical condition, from where they were referred to Gorakhpur. The incident is of Mirganj police station area. The family members who brought the newly married couple for treatment are also shocked by this incident.

Family members told the police that 28-year-old Shanti Devi, a resident of Sonate police station area of ​​Jamshedpur, married Mukesh Kumar Singh, 30, son of Chandrika Singh, a resident of Mirganj town of Gopalganj, at Thave temple on Saturday. On the Sunday after the wedding, there was a banquet at home. After feeding the relatives and relatives in the banquet, the husband and wife went to sleep, but both consumed poison on the honeymoon itself. According to the relatives who brought the lovers to the Sadar Hospital, both of them had eaten by mixing poison in the chicken.

No one has been able to know what is the reason for consuming poison. It is said that both were seen in an unconscious state in the room, after which they were rushed to the Sadar Hospital for treatment. In the night, the doctor of the emergency ward treated both of them. After that the information of this incident was given to the police of the city police station. On the information of the arrival of the police, the family members fled on the pretext of getting better treatment for both of them.

According to doctors, the relatives had given surf water to the newlyweds to make them vomit after consuming the poison. Even after that the condition did not improve. Then the relatives had reached the Sadar Hospital to get both of them treated. In this matter, Sadar Hospital police officer BN Rai said that the matter is being investigated. Both the lovers were in an unconscious state so interrogation could not be done.
