New Delhi : Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been discharged from the hospital. She was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi due to Kovid related problems. 75-year-old Sonia Gandhi was found infected with the corona virus on June 2. He was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on 12 June due to complications post COVID-19.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted, "Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and has been advised to take rest at home." The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued fresh summons to Sonia Gandhi to appear for questioning on June 23 in an alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald. Though Sonia has been advised rest by the doctor, her appearance before the ED for questioning is doubtful.

Sonia Gandhi was earlier asked to appear on June 8, but she was asked to give a new date to appear before the probe agency as she was infected with the coronavirus. The probe agency is already questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and he has now appeared before the ED on Monday.

Besides Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul Gandhi again appeared in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office on Monday after three consecutive days of questioning last week in an alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. Rahul Gandhi, 52, was questioned for over 30 hours by ED officials for three consecutive days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday last week, during which his statements under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) were recorded.
