IND vs AFG: T20 series is to be played between India and Afghanistan from January 11. A total of 3 matches will be played in this series. Afghanistan team is visiting India for the T20 series for the first time. Considering the T20 World Cup to be played this year, this series is considered very important for both the teams. This is the reason why Afghanistan team has announced a 19-member team for the T20 series against India.

Afghanistan's regular T20I captain Rashid Khan has been included in the team for the series against India, but he may not be seen playing in all three matches played in the series. Actually he has recovered from the recent back surgery. Afghanistan Cricket Board has given this information. The board further said that Ibrahim Zadran, who led Afghanistan to a 2-1 series win against the UAE in Sharjah, will continue to lead Afghanistan against India as well. Apart from all this, Mujeeb Ur Rahman has once again returned to the team. He was not selected in the team for the three-match T20 series held against UAE recently.

ACB President Mirwais Ashraf said on the announcement of the team for the series that we are happy to come on our first tour to India for the three-match series. India is the top-ranked team in the world and it is great to see Afghanistan compete against them in a three-match T20 series.
