Rajasthan ED Raids: BJP and Congress have come face to face over ED raids on the premises of Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara. After raids at Dotasara's house and summoning his son Vaibhav, CM Ashok Gehlot has targeted the central government. CM Gehlot said- Central government is misusing the investigating agencies. These people are using ED like locusts. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that this action has awakened the hope of getting justice in the minds of the youth affected by paper leak.

Dotasara told the workers outside his house in Sikar – We do not need to be afraid. ED is doing its work, let it do it. Appealed to the workers to maintain peace.

Gehlot said-

Gehlot said this is not a trivial matter. There is no case against Dotasara and Vaibhav Gehlot. Raids are not conducted without a case.

Regarding the summons to Vaibhav Gehlot, Gehlot said - I have been hearing for about five-ten years that a complaint has been made against him. Yesterday ED summon came to appear on 26th October. We are not afraid of these people, tomorrow we are going to give 5 more guarantees to Rajasthan.

Vaibhav Gehlot's statement has come after the summons of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He said- BJP remembers ED during elections. ED has summoned me for questioning in the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) case. I have asked for ED appointment.

Gehlote said – Why bring the matter before the elections?

Vaibhav Gehlot said- Even 12-13 years ago, ED had made allegations. To which we had replied. Now after 12-13 years, notice has come again regarding the same things. Do the people of the state understand why this matter has been brought up before the elections? Why is this so many years old matter remembered only after the election code of conduct was imposed? We are not going to get scared and run away. We will answer every question. He said that ED has also raided the residence of State President Govind Singh Dotasara. The Congress government is being targeted.

Why is no action being taken against Gajendra Shekhawat?

Ashek Gehlot made a big allegation against Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat and said that there was a complaint against Shekhawat for investment in Ethiopia. SOG is repeatedly requesting ED to take action, but no action has been taken.

ED cannot occur without pressure from above. How many times have we requested the ED in the Sanjeevani case, but the investigation has not been done till now. Gajendra Shekhawat has properties in many countries including Ethiopia. We requested ED, but no one cared.

Gehlot said- ED-Income Tax has created terror in the country.

CM Ashok Gehlot said- What will be left if the country's premium agencies like CBI, ED, Income Tax do not have credibility? These agencies had credibility. Today the opposite is happening. The situation prevailing today is a worrying situation. The question is not about raids on the locations of my son and PCC Chief. The question is about the credibility of these agencies. These agencies have created terror in the entire country. In Chhattisgarh, ED officers have taken houses on rent there for the last 6-7 months. What is the credibility of Kirori Meena who made the complaints?

Gehlot said- The raid on the party chief matters. No case registered, no complaint, yet raid was conducted directly. Kirori Meena, who is going to complain, what is his own credibility? Whose business is this. In order to get a ticket, Kirori Meena was given the task of complaining to the ED for the last one year.

If any Congress leader complains tomorrow, will ED reach there?

Gehlot said- Kirori Meena went inside the locker and sat on strike saying that Rs 500 crores were lying inside. Tomorrow one of our leaders will go and stage a protest saying that there is Rs 800 crore at such and such a place, will ED come? What was the work of ED in the Ganpati Plaza lockers case? This was the work of the Income Tax Department.

Farmer's son Dotasara targeted for defending the government

Gehlot said- Govind Singh Dotasara is the son of a farmer. Ever since he joined politics, he has been working day and night. There was no let up in raising the voice of every section in the Assembly also. No one can defend our governance the way he has, that is why he has been targeted. They have been targeted. The amount of criticism he deserves is less.

Gehlot said- ED's summons to Vaibhav Gehlot is dated 19th. What joke is this? We are not going to panic. No leader of the Congress party is going to panic. Gehlot said- Right now we have given two guarantees and raided our two leaders. We are going to give five more guarantees. First decide which five more leaders are to be raided. Instead of winning the hearts of the people with your policies and programs, you are acting like a bully.

Vaibhav Gehlot had taxi business with Ratan Sharma, now separated

Vaibhav Gehlot had a taxi business with Ratan Sharma, from whom they later separated. Vaibhav Gehlot has been summoned in a 10 year old case. Vaibhav Gehlot had a capital of around Rs 25 lakh. The company under that hotel is giving answers on how many shares were sold and to whom.

Raids were conducted on State President DK Shivakumar in Karnataka. Here the state president is Dotasara, BJP got clean there and will get clean here also. No case, no complaint against Dotasara. There is no case against Vaibhav Gehlot, yet you are conducting ED raids.

Modi-Shah could not topple the government, that is why they are targeting me

Gehlot said- He toppled elected governments in many states. Be it Modi or Amit Shah, they could not topple the government, that is why they are targeting me. They don't have any business here, we are competing with them. We will show them success. The public is with us, whether we misuse ED or CBI. Whatever he has done today, he has attacked the State Congress Committee President, the public will not spare him.

ED raided as soon as Hudla got the ticket

Gehlot said- The raid was conducted as soon as Hudla got the Congress ticket. Earlier he had hoped that maybe he would join BJP.

ED conducted 108 raids during UPA rule, 3010 raids till now during BJP rule.

Gehlot said- ED conducted 108 searches between 2004 and 2014 during UPA rule. These searches were done on the basis of genuine complaints. At that time challans were presented against 104 out of 108. 3010 raids were conducted during the nine-year tenure of the NDA government. Of these, chargesheet was presented in only 881 cases, which is only 39%. In the UPA government, there were 93% challans.

Gehlot said that if someone joins BJP, he gets washed with milk. What allegations did the PM not make about Ajit Pawar? He joined the government in Maharashtra. Gehlot's guarantee is hollow: Shekhawat

Responding to Gehlot's allegations, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said in a press conference in Delhi that Gehlot is linking these raids with his hollow guarantees. They should tell whether Dotasara's role is found in the paper leak, whether action will be taken against him or not? Gehlot makes false allegations regarding misuse of ED. Gehlot holds the home department in Rajasthan. He has prevented the investigating agency from taking independent action in the paper leak.

Randhawa said- BJP should also include ED-Income Tax in its election symbol.

Congress state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said- BJP should also include ED and Income Tax in its lotus symbol. ED has come to promote BJP in Rajasthan. Can't ED go to Madhya Pradesh and Haryana? There are allegations against their leaders. Why are ED raids taking place only in Congress ruled states?

Sachin Pilot said- BJP's nervousness is visible

Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot also said on the ED raids that we are not afraid of these raids. Due to this, BJP's nervousness is visible in Rajasthan.
