Business News: Banks and stock markets will remain closed across the country for 3 consecutive days from today. On the occasion of Shivratri, there will be a holiday in banks and stock markets across the country today i.e. on March 8. Due to holiday, trading on NSE-BSE is going to remain closed for 3 days. Let us tell you, March 8 is a holiday due to Shivratri, March 9 is the second Saturday and March 10 is a Sunday. Markets will open directly after 3 days on Monday. Apart from this, due to festivals in the month of March, banks are going to remain closed for 6 more days apart from Saturday and Sunday. There will be no trading on NSE-BSE

Let us tell you that the stock market will remain closed on March 8. There will be no trading on Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange on this day. Equity segment, equity derivatives segment, SLB segment and currency derivatives market will remain closed on Friday and there will be no trading here.

In the holiday list of the National Stock Exchange, Mahashivratri i.e. March 8 has been fixed as a holiday. Because of this, there will be no work in the stock market on Friday.

According to the holiday list of the Reserve Bank of India, the festival of Mahashivratri can be celebrated in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu Kashmir, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh. There have been and there will be bank holidays here. The festival of Mahashivratri is celebrated to celebrate the wedding day of Lord Shiva with Parvati.

• 09 March 2024- Due to second Saturday, there will be a holiday in banks across the country.
• 10 March 2024-Banks will remain closed due to Sunday.
• 17 March 2024-Banks are going to remain closed due to Sunday.
• 22 March 2024 - There will be a holiday in banks in Patna due to Bihar Day.
• 23 March 2024-Banks will remain closed due to the fourth Saturday.
• March 24, 2024 - There will be a holiday in banks across the country due to Sunday.
• 25 March 2024- Due to Holi, banks are going to remain closed in the entire country except Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kohima, Patna, Srinagar and Trivandrum.
• 26 March 2024-Banks will remain closed in Bhopal, Imphal, Patna on the occasion of Holi or Yaosang Day.
• 27 March 2024- There will be a holiday in banks in Patna due to Holi.
• 29 March 2024- Due to Good Friday, banks will remain closed in the entire country except Agartala, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Shimla and Srinagar.
