Lucknow: The Sunni Central Waqf Board met on Tuesday at the Board's office at Mall Avenue, Lucknow. It decided by a majority that a reconsideration petition will not be filed against the decision of the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case. Six of the seven members present at the meeting agreed to it. The issue of taking 5 acres of land will be considered in the next meeting. Of the eight board members, Imran Mabud Khan from the lawyer quota from Prayagraj boycotted the meeting.

Board member Abdul Razzaq said, "I was the only member who raised the voice that the review petition should be filed." "All India Muslim Personal Law Board is a separate body," said board chairman Zufar Farooqi. Then why should we give any thought to his decision. ''

The Muslim Personal Law Board had decided to review the petition

Earlier, Zafaryab Jilani, a lawyer for the Sunni Central Waqf Board and the All India Muslim Personal Law Board in the Supreme Court, had decided to file a reconsideration petition against the court's decision. However, the Chairman of the Waqf Board made it clear that they would not go against this decision. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board was not a plaintiff in the Ayodhya case.

Then the name of the Babri Masjid will be removed from the documents

The removal of the name of the Babri Masjid from the documents of the Waqf Board is also likely to be approved in the next meeting. Survey Wakf Commissioners Department recorded Babri Masjid 75 years ago in 1944 in Sunni Waqf Board documents. It is recorded on Waqf number 26 in the name of Babri Masjid Ayodhya District Faizabad, which is to be removed now after the Supreme Court verdict.
