Rup Kumar Shah, an employee working in the postmortem house of Mumbai (police station), has described Sushant's death as a murder in an interview. Shah has claimed that, "Sushant did not die by suicide but he was murdered." Shah also said that there were deep injury marks on Sushant's body and neck.

Roop Kumar Shah said in his statement, "A VIP body came to Cooper Hospital for postmortem among five bodies, after opening the cloth we saw that it was the body of actor Sushant Singh. After seeing the body, it seemed that Sushant Singh's case It is not of suicide. After seeing the throat, I felt that the incident was not of suicide. There were marks of beating on the legs and hands, photography of the body was done. We told Saheb that sir, do videography, then Saheb said that you got the work Do that work.
